Event # 5 and the last event of the series had us back in Oceanside for a rain makeup from early March.  A combo south and northwest swell provided some 3-5 foot lumpy waves.  The 2 swells seemed to be crossing each other up but still provided some high performance waves.  We knew it was going to be good when in the second boys shortboard heat Jett Maughan dropped a perfect 10 point ride across the board.  And it just got better from there.  Wind picked up and made it a bit more challenging but the wind backed off and the tide filled back in just in time for the finals.  The finals provided near perfect conditions and the kids did not disappoint with their surfing.  Congratulations to Dane Libby – BSB, Victoria Duprat – GSB & GLB and Yu Yu Chan – BB all from Oak Crest along with Slater Todd – BLB, Aviara Oaks for their overall season division wins.  Oak Crest Middle School was the Overall Team winner.  Congratulations to all the teams.

Directions:
From the 5 Fwy exit Oceanside Harbor Drive
follow the loop West.
Go left towards South Harbor Jetty.  Follow the street until it dead ends at Parking Lot 10.
The contest will be on the beach.

Parking is $10 per day or free parking in the back lot under train bridge.
