MARCH 8, 2015 – VENTURA FAIRGROUNDS
Our SSS event on Sunday for the High School LA to Santa Barbara division had some challenging conditions. Clean 2 to 3 foot waves in the morning with some south swell mixed in with some wind swell. It was nice and sunny in the morning with some heavy northwest winds in the afternoon. All divisions handled the conditions really well especially Santa Barbra taking the overall team point win with 81 points and San Marcos coming in 2nd with a total of 72 team points. Taking the win in the Men’s Short Board division was Ryder Sturgess and taking 1st in the Men’s Long Board was Santa Barbara’s Chace Nelson. Vienna Werner from Oak Park dominated both the Women’s Short Board and the Woman’s Longboard taking 1st place in each division. Matty Pierce surfing in an exhausting 3 divisions ended up taking 1st place in the Body Boarding. Thank you to all our sponsors who make this season possible.
