DIVISION 2 HIGH SCHOOL SURFING
SB-LA COUNTIES
April 12, 2015 – Zuma Beach Tower 10
It was a beautiful Sunday for our High School Division 2 SSS event LA to Santa Barbara at Zuma Beach. It was in the mid 70s all day with some off shores winds in the morning turning to sheet glass in the afternoon. There were some fun barrels and the waves were in the 3 to 4 foot range with the south swell holding all day. Oxnard had an outstanding performance taking home three 1st place medals, and 1st place in the overall team points with a total of 65 points. 1st place in the Mens Shortboard was Cade Bright from Oxnard. The winner of the Mens Longboard final was Aaron Kinberg from Oak Park. Winning the Womens Short Board final and the Woman’s Longboard final was Stella Nicodemus with an absolutely “stellar” performance. Last, but certainly not least, taking the win once again for the Bodyboard final was Jack McAtee from Villanova. Thank you to all our sponsors who make this season possible.
