MARCH 14, 2015 – SUMMERS BEACH VENTURA It was a beautiful Saturday for our High School Division 2 SSS event LA to Santa Barbara. It was in the high 80s all day with some off shores winds in the morning turning to sheet glass in the afternoon. There was a fun 2 to 3 foot south swell holding all day. Villanova had an outstanding performance taking home four 1st place medals, and 1st place in the overall team points with a total of 73 points. 1st place in the Men’s Short Board and the Men’s Long Board was Villanova’s Clay Norian. Winning the Woman’s Short Board final from Villanova was Maddy Bailey. Taking first place in the Woman’s Long Board final was Emma Burns from Oak Park. And taking the win in the Bodyboarding final was Jack McAtee. Thank you to all our sponsors who make this season possible.
