SB-LA COUNTIES MIDDLE SCHOOL DIVISION 1 SURFING
April 11, 2015 ZUMA BEACH TOWER 10
It was a beautiful and warm sunny day in Zuma for the LA to Santa Barbara surfers. The waves were in the 2 to 3 foot range with good shape. At around 11a the wind turned south for about an hour and then glassed off for the rest of the day. Cabrillo Middle School took the win by a slim margin with 234 points. Santa Barbara Junior High School trailed closely behind earning 220 points. Shamus O’Hearn (Santa Barbara Jr) took the win in the Boys Shortboard Division and Zion Denzel (Cabrillo) took the win in both the Boys Longboard and Coed Bodyboard divisions. Zion was a triple finalist and earned a significant amount of points for his team today. Zoe Morgan (Paul Revere) took home the first place trophy for the Girls Shortboard division. Betsey Lee (Malibu) took the win in both the Girls Longboard division.
