W.I.S.A.’s Pieces

WISA’ s Pieces, that’s what Jerico coined us. We all had a good laugh over that. The one missing was Mary Lou Drummy. For those that don’t know, WISA was the Women’s International Surfing Association. This association was formed by women so women surfers could have a place to compete in good waves and be respected as athletes. What a great day to have all 4 of us on the beach continuing to be involved in varying degrees, into the sport of surfing, of which we all so dearly love. There is a rich history of women’s surfing in this photograph that will be told in the near future. L to R: Sheri Crummer, Debbie Beacham, Carolyn Krammer and Jerico Poplar.
