Avalanche, Ocean Beach – Jan 22, 2023

Avalanche did not disappoint for our third event of the 2022-23 season.  Avalanche showed its true form with some 6-8 foot waves and challenging conditions.  It has been just a continuous round of swell for south county.  Coupled with the King Tide weekend and some large surf, our SSS setup crew had to do some creative setting up of the event.  The yearly berm at our San Diego beaches was definitely a plus for everyone.  It was amazing to see all the surfing talent we have in San Diego County. Everyone was surfing at a very high level.  Congrats to everyone.  Our next event is February 12 in Oceanside.  We will either be at south jetty or south pier.
