Emma Wood (summers), Ventura – Feb 28, 2021

After almost a year away from competitive surfing due to Covid-19 it was great to finally have our first SSS event at Summers beach in Ventura. There were some strong east winds in the morning, but by 10:00 it was glassy and sunny for the rest of the day. Waves were about 2 to 3 foot and really fun. All the teams were fired up for the first event, but it was Dos Pueblos-1Team with the highest team point total with 57 points and Rebecca Jamgochian (Dos Pueblos-1) who took back to back wins in both the Women’s Shortboard and Woman’s Longboard. Thanks everyone for coming out. See you at the next event.
