With all the rain and wind we’ve had in Ventura the past couple weeks it was nice to see another sunny warm day for the second day in a row for the High School Division 2 SSS event LA to Santa Barbara. With a really drastic tide swing, but clean conditions the waves shaped up to be pretty fun. John Simon (Ventura) was showing his local knowledge and found himself first in the Mens Shortboard Final. Everyone was ripping in the Longboard Final, but in the end it was Wyatt McLean, (Westlake) who took the win. It was a close Womens Shortboard final, but it was Kaya Weber, (Ventura) who took the win and Annalie Ilagan (Ventura) won the Girls Longboard Finals. Tearing up the shore break in the Bodyboard final and taking first place was Mason McElvain, (Westlake).
