Summers Beach, Ventura – Oct 28, 2018

The SSS kicked off the 2018-2019 LA-SB High School section this weekend at Summers Beach. It was a gloomy but glassy morning at Summers Beach in Ventura. With a ton of sand from all the summer south swells Summers Beach held a 5.7 foot high tide very well. The waves were in the 3 to 4 foot range with fun corners and a couple barrels. The conditions were pretty glassy for most of the day. There were a lot of new faces and freshmen who graduated from the 8th grade last year. All the teams were ripping, but in the end it was Santa Barbara 1 who got the highest team point total with 55 points. Thanks everyone for coming out. We look forward to a great season.
