Ventura County Fairgrounds – Feb 12, 2017

It was a warm sunny day for the High School Division 1 event. The waves were in the 3 to 4 foot range with great shape. With perfect little waves racing down the point Morro Bay was fired up and had the highest total of 78 team points defeating Santa Monica with 40. Everyone was ripping in the Men’s Short Board Final, but in the end it was Sean Woods (Malibu) who took the win. Travis Quittner, (Dos Pueblos) showed his longboard skills in the Men’s Longboard Final and found himself in first. In the Woman’s Shortboard Final it was Maddie Malmsten, (Santa Barbara) who was ripping up the point break waves and got first and Betsey Lee, (Malibu) showing her longboard style got first in the Woman’s Longboard Final. Last, but not least it was Matty Pierce (Santa Barbara) who won the Body Board Final.
