April 15, 2018  – Ventura Fair Grounds

It was a sunny warm day for the SSS High School Division 1 event. With a great 4 to 6 foot northwest swell the waves were absolutely pumping. Both schools were ripping, but in the end it was Oak Park 80 def Palisades 33 in the team vs team. With a stacked Men’s Shortboard final it was Arata Tomatsuri (Ventura) who took the win. Chase Nelson (Santa Barbara) was ripping all day and took 1st in the Men’s Longboard. Taking the win in the woman’s shortboard final was Sophie Simon (Ventura) and displaying some great foot work in the woman’s longboard final and taking the win was Melia Haller (Santa Barbara). Last but not least taking the win in the Coed body boarding was Collin Bosse (Dos Pueblos). Thank you to all our sponsors who make this season possible.
