Scholastic Surf Series

Zuma Beach – Mar 25, 2017

.

It was a warm sunny day for the LA to Santa Barbara section. It was about 3 to 4 feet with fun ripable peaks up and down the beach. With a high tide all day and a little south west breeze the conditions stayed good all day. The middle school teams were fired up for the last event of the season, but in the end it was Cabrillo who one the overall ratings with 202 points. Talan Vodraska (Malibu) finding some awesome corners and tearing them apart found himself in 1st place in the Boys Shortboard final. Taking the win in the Boys Longboard final with some great foot work was Cosmo Catalfimo (Santa Barbara Jr) . The girls were charging all day, but it was Noah Klapp (Muse) who took the win in both the Girls Shortboard final and the Girls Longboard final. Last, but not least was Charlie Richards (Balboa) winning the Coed Bodyboarding. Huge thanks to all of the parents and coaches for their help this weekend, and thank you to all of our sponsors who make the SSS season possible.
