It was a beautiful Sunday for our High School Division 2 SSS event LA to Santa Barbara at Zuma Beach Tower 10. Waves were about 3 to 4 feet and clean with a nice offshore breeze that lasted till the afternoon. With a crazy El Nino winter and lots of cancellations all the teams were fired up to have some decent surf especially Agoura taking the overall team win with 56.5 points defeating Samo/CC with 33.5 points. Surfing solid and consistent all day and taking the win in both the Men’s Shortboard and the Men’s Longboard final was Joel Bishop from Arroyo Grande. Winning the Woman’s Shortboard final was Claire Bardin from Loyola and taking first in the Woman’s Longboard final was Nikki Katz from Agoura. Last, but certainly not least, for the second contest in a row taking the win in the Body board final was Ryan Pierson from Villanova.
