After such a horrible week of fires affecting so many homes and displacing our SSS families to the north, it was a beautiful sight to have some of the best waves that Avalanche can offer. The waves were firing all weekend long with perfect 4 to 6 foot waves and weather we usually see in summer. We are truly grateful to have these conditions for our teams to perform in. All of the finals had a true representative of the majority of all our teams in Division 1 & 2. Taking the win in each division was Mick Davey, La Jolla, in Mens Shortboard, Cole Quinlan, Coronado, Mens Longboard, Ella McCaffray, San Dieguito, Womens Shortboard, Seva Jarrard, Carlsbad, Womens Longboard and Kellen Andrew, La Costa Canyon, Bodyboard. It was a great event to end the year for our San Diego High School Division 1 & 2 teams. Thank you to all our sponsors and parents for supporting out SSS kids in their sport of surfing. Our next SDHS Div 1 & 2 event is scheduled for Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Oceanside South Pier. Wishing all our SSS families a Happy Holiday Season and a very Merry Christmas.
