Our third event of the season did not disappoint with good surf at Avalanche. After a week of big waves up and down the coast, the ocean calmed down and left us some 2-4 foot surf in the morning until the tide drained out in the afternoon. Carlsbad High School Surf Team was on fire taking 4 wins in the Individuals. Slater Todd took the Double Double award for Mens Longboard and Bodyboard while teammate Reid Van Wagoner took the Double Double award for Womens Shortboard and Womens Longboard. Jett Maughan from San Dieguito took home his first high school win in Mens Shortboard. Hope everyone has a fantastic Winter Break and the waves keep firing for everyone during the Holidays. SSS site is at the very south end of the parking lot
COMING FROM THE SOUTH
I-5 North
Exit I-8 West (beaches)
I-8 becomes Sunset Cliffs Blvd.
Merge to the left onto Sunset Cliffs Blvd
Turn Right on Point Loma Blvd (signal)
Turn right on Voltaire (small street about 1/2 mile down)
You will now be in the parking lot
