SCHOLASTIC SURF SERIES
ORANGE COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL DIVISION 1 & 2
OCTOBER 20, 2018 – OCEANSIDE SOUTH JETTY
It was an awesome day to start the Orange County Middle School section of the SSS. The surf was pumping all day long with 4 to 5 waves. The morning was a cold offshore day so typical of Oceanside
South Jetty as the wind blows down the San Luis Rey River. But that didn’t last long before the shorts and flip flops replaced the jackets and ugg boots. The summer practice was quite evident in the returning students as they were ripping and displaying the future of what is yet to come to our sport. Our newest sponsor Sharp Eye Surfboards was very pleased with the caliber of surfing that was on display at the event. From the 5 Fwy exit Oceanside Harbor Drive
follow the loop West.
Go left towards South Harbor Jetty
The contest will be on the beach at Parking Lot 10.
Parking is $8 per day or free parking in the back lot under train bridge.
