Our fourth SSS LA-SB Middle School event was held at Ventura Fairgrounds. It was a beautiful morning with pumping 4-6 foot waves and light offshore. Around 10:00 the East Santa Ana winds kicked in and tore the line up apart till about 12:00 Noon. The last two hours of the day were pumping with a light onshore wind and roping rights down the point. Everyone was ripping, but it was the local Ventura team that smashed the overall team points with 298 total points. Thank you to the parents and coaches! We are looking forward to seeing you at Tar Pits Carpinteria for our last event of the season. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday Season from all of us here at Scholastic Surf Series.
