San Diego High School Division 5 surf teams started their opening event at Avalanche with some really fun 4 to 6 foot waves. We had some remnant sets left over from the day before which made for some interesting rogue sets in the 7 foot range. Everyone was ripping and having a great summer like day. It was a varied field of winning surfers as we welcomed some new teams to the season for Division 5. Taking the win in Mens Shortboard was Ethan Eisenkerch from El Camino. In Mens Longboard it was Clinton Allen from Henry/Steele. Rebecca Siegler from Francis Parker took the win the in Womens Shorotboard, Noelle Walker from Christian Unified took the win in the Womens Longboard and Zade Norman from Rancho Bernardo locked down the win in the Coed Bodyboard.

You will cross over the river
Turn right on Point Loma Blvd (signal)

You will now be in the parking lot
SSS site is at the very south end of the parking lot
COMING FROM THE SOUTH
I-5 North
Exit I-8 West (beaches)
I-8 becomes Sunset Cliffs Blvd.
Merge to the left onto Sunset Cliffs Blvd
Turn Right on Point Loma Blvd (signal)
Turn right on Voltaire (small street about 1/2 mile down)
You will now be in the parking lot
SSS site is at the very south end of the parking lot
