It was a warm sunny day for the High School Division 1 SSS event LA to Santa Barbara. The waves were in the 2 to 3 foot range with great shape. With two schools tying for the most overall team points it was Dos Pueblos/San Morcos 77 team points defeating Oak Park 48 and Morro Bay 77 defeating Ventura 55 team points. Everyone was ripping in the Men’s Short Board Final, but in the end it was Myles Freeh (Morro Bay) who took the win. Matty Pierce (Santa Barbara) showed his long board skills and his bodyboard skills and found himself in first place in both the Men’s Longboard and the Coed Bodyboard. In the Woman’s Shortboard it was Maddie Malmsten (Santa Barbara) who was ripping and got the win. Melia Haller (Santa Barbara) was showing her longboard skills and ended up winning the Woman’s Longboard Final.

DIVISION 2
It was a sunny day for the High School Division 2 SSS event LA to Santa Barbara. With a fun south swell the waves were in the 2 to 3 foot range. Both schools were ripping, but in the end it was Loyola 47 def Westlake 33. With a stacked Men’s Shortboard final it was Nick Ramsbottom (Loyola) who took the win. Garrett Van Konynenburg (Loyola) was ripping all day and took 1st in the Men’s Longboard. Taking the win in the Womans Shortboard was Ashley Rowan (Loyola) and taking the win in the Womens Longboard was Kira Germann (Westlake). Last but not least taking the win in the Coed Bodyboard was Jackson Linscomb (Loyola).

Exit State Beaches and head north.
Contest will be on your left side within 1 mile from where you exit.

From Solamar Beach take 101 south.
Exit State Beaches
Turn RIGHT Head SOUTH
ABOUT 5 miles down just past Solimar and before Emma Wood the contest will be on the right.
