Orange County High Schools kicked off its first event @ 9th Street Huntington Beach
formerly known as “TacoBellReef” cool offshore breeze made one pull up the collar around the back of your neck or tighten the drawstrings on you hoody!!! the first signs of fall are here. As the day progressed the sun warmed the beach and almost to warm showing that this was truly the famed “Indian Summer” ie: dry cold nights, cool mornings,& hot days. The offshore breeze beautifully groomed the ocean surface akin to a smooth velvety surface!!!
Mother Gaia’s Pulsing heart beat was powerful producing strong consistent overhead waves from 3 directions; north west, west & from the south garnering up spitting barrels every minute!!! The “groms” or better said the young women and young men surfer athletes were fired up!!! & ripping!!! The judges were excited watching & scoring the competitors and while competitors were not riding waves the non competitors were getting barreled every 3minutes up & down the beach as far as one could see. This is my favorite time of year #IndianSummer #ComboSwells #WarmWater #CoolBriskMorning #I Love SoCal !!!!!!!
