Oceanside Harbor, So. Jetty – Feb 7, 2021

Surprise Surprise was the way the day started and ended.  It was an awesome surprise that the City of Oceanside was able to work with the SSS and permit our event to run.  Thank You Oceanside Special Events, the Committee and Lifeguards who made this happen.  Waves were a fun 2-3 feet with good conditions.  Mid-morning fog circled all around us but stayed clear enough to keep on going.  Everyone arrived with their smiling faces under their masks and everyone grateful and happy for the kids to be back in the jersey again. It was different and difficult for the kids to adjust to the guidelines and for the coaches to take the lead in check-in and checking results.  Thank You Coaches, you were awesome.  AND then the other Surprise – lifeguards immediately notifying us of a shark sighting close by at the pier.  AND that was the end to a great beginning.  BUT we will do this again on February 21 at Oceanside South Jetty.

The team ratings are posted below and include all the team scores of the completed rounds.  Individual ratings will be posted soon with equal placings since we did not get to Finals and we did not complete all the heats in the round of each division.  Thank You all for your patience and understanding.
