This day was a little wild compared to the mellow day before. A new northwest swell kicked in overnight and provided some bombing sets in the 4 to 6 foot range. The day was full of changing conditions with the wind changing directions every hour, and some rain drops had us hustling to get the heat board covered up. All in all the competitors were up to the challenge and found some amazing waves to load up the score card. Pacific Beach loaded up the Boys Shortboard Division with 4 surfers in the final but it was Oceanside’s Will Mitchell that took the win. Evan Volk from High Tech was first in the Boys Longboard, while Noelle Walker from Santa Fe Christian took the first place honors in both Girls Shortboard and Girls Longboard. Isaiah Dasher from Sanderling Waldorf made his second finals appearance in the Bodyboard Division taking a win at this event.
