It was a beautiful cold day at the High School Division 1 SSS event at Summers Beach in Ventura. Waves were in the 2 to 3 foot range. With a 6 foot high tied at 8:15 AM we got a late start at 10:30. Dos Pueblos with 79 team points was fired up and took the win over Santa Monica with 26 team points. Everyone was tearing up these small waves and in the Mens Shortboard Final it was Carson Dohan (Malibu) who took the win. Chase Nelson was surfing this small beach break like a point break and found himself in first place in the Mens Longboard. In the Womens Shortboard it was Maddie Malmsten (Santa Barbara) who took first place and winning the Girls Longboard was Betsey Lee (Malibu). Taking the win in the Body board final was Zane Booth (Dos Pueblos).

FROM THE SOUTH:
From Emma Woods take 101 north.
Exit State Beaches and head north.
Contest will be on your left side within 1 mile from where you exit.
Park along the beach head in to save space.
FROM THE NORTH:
From Solamar Beach take 101 south.
Exit State Beaches
Turn RIGHT Head SOUTH
ABOUT 5 miles down just past Solimar and before Emma Wood the contest will be on the right.
